Acoustic Central is  an online music outlet specialising in new and used fine quality acoustic guitars.

It is owned and run by Steven and Carla, who between them have many years' experience in  playing, performing and teaching the guitar, as well as publishing a range of music for guitar in music notation and tablature.

Steven is the steel string guitar specialist and is a compulsive collector of guitars - including resonators and baritones. He has been playing the guitar for a number of years and used to perform regularly in a duet with a singer. He has also dabbled with many other instruments, including the saxophone, clarinet, recorders and trumpet!

Carla is the nylon string guitar specialist - although she has been enticed over to the steel string world since she met Steven! She studied classical guitar and piano at the Royal College of Music, London, (she also plays the violin and recorders and has dabbled with the harp and many wind instruments) and subsequently gained her teaching degree at the London University. She has performed solo, as a duet and as part of a chamber group throughout the UK and abroad. She arranges and publishes music for the guitar and for other instruments and will take commissions for arrangements and transcriptions for any instrument in most styles.

Acoustic Central grew out of a love for guitars and guitar music, and because there was an absence of shops selling high end new and used guitars in the area. We buy and sell quality acoustic guitars and will also consider straight swaps or commission sales. We deal in only the best quality acoustic guitars, from both the UK and abroad, and aim to offer all acoustic guitarists the opportunity to try and to buy some of the finest guitars available.

We ensure that all our guitars are set up correctly so as to enhance the player's technique and aid progress. Too many guitars, especially at the lower end of the price range, are often set up incorrectly which can be detrimental to technique and can impede progress.

Our enthusiasm and knowledge is coupled with a belief that only by listening to and understanding our customers can we help them to find and enjoy their dream guitar!
